Conor Sparks

Conor Sparks
Admitted as a Solicitor in 1977, Conor Sparks is the Managing Partner of the Firm and leads its Litigation and Commercial team.

Conor has a great deal of experience in all areas of Litigation, including, personal injuries, employment law, and dispute resolution. He also practices in the area of Wills and Estate Planning, Taxation + Dispute Resolution.

Conor, a keen sportsman, having previously trained as an Accountant, is actively involved in a number of charities, both locally and internationally and is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.

Conor is also a Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public.

Donogh McGowan

Donogh McGowan
Admitted as a solicitor in 1996, Donogh leads the Firm’s Family Law, Property and Commercial Departments. He has extensive experience in Property Law.

He also advises clients in relation to all aspects of District Court appearances, including Criminal Offences and Road Traffic Offences.

Donogh, a great-nephew of the Firm’s founder G L McGowan and a son of the late Joe McGowan, is an active member of the Balbriggan Chamber of Commerce, Skerries Rugby Club and is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.

Donogh has also trained as a collaborative law practitioner and is a member of the ACP (www.acp.ie)

Ruth Higgins

Ruth Higgins
Joined the firm in September 2012, Ruth Higgins is a solicitor and registered tax consultant practising in all aspects of private client including trust and estate planning and administration, contentious probate and trusts, powers of attorney, family law and employment.

Ruth is a member of the Law Society Taxation Committee and an associate of the Irish Taxation Institute. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree from NUI, Galway and an LLM Degree from Kings College London.

William A. James
William joined the firm in July 2013 as a Consultant solicitor. Admitted as a solicitor in 1968 and worked in the firm of B. Vincent Hoey and Company of Drogheda. He became a partner in the firm in 1984. Subsequently he set up on his own in 1989. His work covered a wide range of subjects but in more recent times has concentrated on conveyancing, litigation and family law.

William has been actively involved in Youth work since 1966 and then in Scouting from 1976 and is still involved with Scouting Ireland. He is a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association. William is a Commissioner for Oaths.
